Victoria Flats Landfill
The Victoria Flats landfill is shared between the Queenstown Lakes District and the Central Otago District.
About the landfill
The Victoria Flats Landfill is located 17km from Frankton on the East Side of State highway 6 between the Victoria Bridge and the Nevis Bluff.
Scope Resources Limited is contracted to run the landfill on behalf of the Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago Districts.
All vehicles are logged in, have their loads accepted and weighed before proceeding to the landfill.
The landfill accepts the following:
- Household Collection Waste
- Transfer Station Waste
- Commercial Waste
- Special Waste and Hazardous Waste.
There is no general public access to the site except by prior arrangement with Scope Resources.
