Community Association Grant Support
There are 15 formally recognised Community Associations across our district who actively represent and advocate for the needs and interests of their local communities.
These groups each receive an annual community grant of $5,000 for operational support and project seed funding. If they want to apply for additional project funding, they are able to complete an application for the Community Fund 2025-2026.
Newcomers guide
It can be a challenge moving to a new place, but it can be a great adventure too. If you're new to the district, we'd love to help you settle in. Take a look at our Newcomers Guide to the District below - it's full of good old local knowledge and tips for getting set up.
Another great resource is the New Zealand Now website which provides insights into living & working in New Zealand: www.newzealandnow.govt.nz
