Conserve water at home and help avoid water restrictions

Prolonged hot and dry weather and high usage across the network means water restrictions may need to be imposed.

Water Restrictions Lifted 03

Prolonged hot and dry weather and high usage across the network means water restrictions may need to be imposed. But if we all make some small changes to how we’re all using water at home, this might be avoided!

We’re monitoring water usage daily and have seen a recent spike in use for properties located around Lake Hayes, including Threepwood, Bendemeer, Arrowtown-Lake Hayes Road and Slopehill Road.  So we’re asking residents to voluntarily minimise the use of sprinklers and irrigation to what is absolutely necessary. Hand-held watering is preferred, but where irrigations systems are used these should be set to operate late at night and for as short a period as possible.  This means you avoid the hottest part of the day and the busy morning and evening periods when water demand is at its highest.

Water is a precious and limited resource so it's important we all use it wisely.
