Lake Street Update: 5 October 2023

Lake Street status this weekend: OPEN, 6.00pm on Friday 6 October, to 7.00am on Monday 9 October.

With spring really starting to settle and drier, warmer days hanging around in Queenstown, our team up on Man Street has continued working to lay footpaths near its intersection with Hay Street and set manhole lids before a final layer of asphalt is laid.

Next week, we’ll be constructing a new footpath on Man Street near its intersection with Lake Street, and working on pavement tie ins to the road at the intersection too.

Completed this week

• Continuing exposing and setting manhole lids ahead of the final layer of asphalt

• Footpath prep and pour towards Hay Street/ Man St intersection

Next week (6 Oct – 13 Oct)

• Footpath construction on Man Street adjacent to the Lake Street intersection

• Pavement construction at the Lake/Man Street intersection tie in to the road
