In the Queenstown Lakes District we think that trees help make our towns special. They are a really important and valuable community asset that the Council works hard to protect.
Tree Policy
The Council’s Tree Policy was adopted in May 2006. It outlines how the Council intends to protect and manage the District’s trees. This policy was updated in March 2009

Tree Operations Manual
The Council adopted a Tree Operations Manual in 2006 to ensure that all maintenance work carried out on trees in this district is up to a highest possible standard.
