In the Queenstown Lakes District we think that trees help make our towns special. They are a really important and valuable community asset that the Council works hard to protect.
The Council’s Tree Policy was adopted in May 2006. It outlines how the Council intends to protect and manage the District’s trees. This policy was updated in March 2009
